Woman killed in alleged Long Beach DUI crash identified as a Cypress resident

LONG COASTLINE – – The coroner’s office released the name of a young woman on Wednesday, Aug. 21, after she was killed Sunday in a two-vehicle accident in Long Coastline while riding with a supposedly impaired driver, that was apprehended on suspicion of inebriated driving as well as car homicide.

Marilyn Araiza, 21, of Cypress, passed away at a medical facility a brief time after the pre-dawn accident.

Araiza was trapped inside the Lincoln and was separated from the wreck by firemens. They also needed to release the driver of the Cadillac from his vehicle, authorities stated. A 49-year-old Yard Grove local was required to a location health center for therapy of small injuries.
